Daniel Fast Day No. 8.

Hi Lovelies!
How was your day?  Great I hope.  Today seemed to drag on and on and on for me; but then I think of the alternative, not being able to enjoy one single second, then I remember to embrace the long minutes and hours of the day and not rush them away.

My 22 year old daughter is doing the Daniel fast this year as well.  She asked me this afternoon "Mom we can't have fish huh?" I kindly replied "No, and you should know that because this is the third year you've done the fast."  She kindly replied to me "I sure wish Daniel would've not passed on the fish when he was held captive, then we would've been able to have some fish today during the fast." Me? blank stare.  Lol.

I had another leftovers day today  I think the food taste better the second day, or is it I'm just lazy about cooking?  Naw, I'm not.  What I am is serious about cleaning out the fridge of stuff that we don't eat and making sure we don't waste the stuff we have to eat, thus I'm having leftovers for several days.

Scripture for the day: Colossians 3:12-14

12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, 13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
Breakfast
Sauteed kale and hash brown potatoes, and cantaloupe

Lunch
